Synopsis

Suzanne is getting married, and she’s invited her daughter and her mother to celebrate the night before the wedding. But it seems these three women have little in common – and a lot of emotional baggage to unpack.

As the champagne flows and tempers fray, nothing is off limits, as buried resentments resurface, misunderstandings are laid bare and revelations abound. With very different views on teenage pregnancy, motherhood, career ambition and sexual identity, three generations confront their relationships with each other.

Actor and comedian Katy Brand explores modern-day dilemmas in this frank and funny exploration of what it means to be a woman, a mother or a daughter in the 21st century. What’s On Stage praised ‘the warmth and ultimate generosity of the play’ and the Express lauded it as ‘a strong play for feminism’.
