Synopsis

While on a cruise, English couple Peter and Debbie befriend Elsa, a lusty, Trump-loving widow from Denver, USA. She is offensively entertaining, and as their ways part they agree to stay in touch – without ever intending to do so.

But when Elsa invites herself to stay, they decide to look her up online to find out more about this virtual stranger. Too late, they learn the terrifying truth. And thanks to social media, there’s nowhere to hide! How do you protect all that you love from mortal peril without seeming, well, a bit impolite?

This excruciatingly hilarious modern comedy of manners is Steven Moffat’s first stage play.
