Synopsis

We’re taking advantage of a completely empty theatre to host a full day’s training. Try something you haven’t done before to put on scenes from a play in a day.

The day will start with our keynote speaker, professional director Catherine Lomax, who started her theatrical career with our Company of Teens. Catherine will be talking to us about how her knowledge of the different theatre backstage and technical disciplines has informed her work as a director.

We’ll then break into practical hands-on workshops where you’ll be working on scenes from a play. In the afternoon we’ll meet to bring our work together in a performance.
Choose from: Lighting, Sound, Directing, Wardrobe, Set Decoration, Acting.

Please bring a packed lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided.

Spaces are limited. Once you’ve paid, please email me at elena_markham@hotmail.com to register your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of workshop. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
