Synopsis
Sir John Falstaff – a fat, egotistical knight – arrives in Windsor accompanied by his equally odious entourage. Falstaff considers himself irresistible to women and is determined to seduce a couple of high society wives.
In this play, Shakespeare explores the eternal themes of love, jealousy, revenge and wealth with irony, sexual innuendo and stereotypical views of class and nationalities. It’s very much a play for today!
