Synopsis

Truvy’s salon is at the heart of Chinquapin, Louisiana. As the characters of the small town come and go through its doors, the beauty and complexity of their daily lives in the Deep South unfold. Secrets and joys are shared over shampoo and manicures as the women of Chinquapin show their strength and their love for each other – and themselves.

Filled with wit and smart repartee, the play takes us on a journey from the joy of engagements and childbirth to the tragic mortality of life.

Steel Magnolias celebrates the power of friends, families and resilience in the face of adversity.
