During the first two weeks of July we will be showcasing thirteen previously unperformed one-act plays written by emerging playwrights.

In October 2023, the Company of Ten invited writers from across the country to submit scripts of no longer than 45 minutes and with no more than eight actors. Submissions were shortlisted by a panel of readers to produce a varied programme of plays. Some may be performed script-in-hand, staging is minimal with simple ‘fringe-style’ lighting and sound. The focus is very much on the writing, and audiences will be invited to give feedback on what they’ve seen.

Come on one evening, or every night across the festival, to watch these exciting new plays – and who knows, you might be witnessing the emergence of the next generation of writing talent.
