Synopsis

The Company of Ten Writers Group is hosting a playwrighting workshop with Kimberley Andrews, Playwright, Dramaturg, Host of Playwriting-Real-life podcast, and Co-founder of London Playwrights (a resource for emerging playwrights in London and beyond). During this in-person workshop, Kimberley will help us explore how to get our play submissions-ready and find the right opportunities.

She explains: I’ll share tips and advice from our range of London Playwrights’ workshops along with some of the common challenges I see writers face through my work as a script reader and dramaturg.

Part 1: Polishing tips and what to look out for when redrafting. Structure – Balance and giving stage time to the most important parts of your plot. Polishing the dialogue. Focus on opening scene. Examining your ending. Pitching skills. Tips & discussion: Is your play really ready?
