Good Grief

20 July 2022

Ugly Bucket and The Art of Grieving

Main Stage

Synopsis

A dying man’s wish: for Ugly Bucket to create a show about death. Will it be subtle? Will it be sophisticated? Probably not, but it’s his funeral. Literally.

The multi award-winning physical comedy company, Ugly Bucket, processes the death of a friend in the only way they know how – through a high energy maelstrom of clowning, movement and thumping techno tracks.

‘Good Grief moved me from tears of laughter to tears of sorrow that healed me,’ said one audience member.

Featured by BBC Stories, Good Grief is a paranormal physical performance of loss, and the memories left behind, brought to you by ‘one of the UK’s most exciting young theatre companies’ – New Diorama.

Profit from the performance will be donated to Rennie Grove Hospice Care and the OLLIE Foundation. This performance is part of The Art of Grieving season, taking place at venues across St Albans. To find out more, follow this link to St Albans Museums website.
