Synopsis

In a totalitarian state where surveillance is absolute and independent thought is a crime, Winston Smith begins keeping a secret diary, a quiet act of defiance against the Party’s suffocating control. His forbidden love affair with Julia deepens his rebellion, offering a fleeting glimpse of freedom and truth. Yet as the Party’s grip tightens, Winston finds himself drawn ever closer to the dangerous edge where resistance and ruin collide.

In a world where history is rewritten and loyalty is manufactured, Winston’s struggle raises a haunting question: Can the human spirit endure under a system that seeks to extinguish it completely?

This stage adaptation of 1984 remains even more relevant in times of ‘alternative facts’, tech companies competing with our sleep and AI bending our reality.
