Synopsis

Do you remember what adolescence felt like? Uncertainty, physical changes and frustration with adults.

This 2018 play, written specifically for a young cast, follows a group of ordinary teenagers on a visit to the local swimming pool. The pool works as a metaphor to explore how it feels to be undergoing the change from child to adult.

Chris Bush writes in a signature style of poignant, moving moments together with a great deal of sharp, funny observation and is best-known for the award-winning book for the musical Standing at Sky’s Edge.
