With no sets to build, our workshop is pretty quiet at the moment. But Abbey Theatre Friends Paul and Pauline Hurford approached us with a project to make two huge rainbows. Santa’s Sleigh was being repurposed by Harpenden Round Table to collect for the local food bank, and Paul had volunteered to supply some colourful décor for it.
The couple let themselves into the workshop with their own access fob and spent three days creating their masterpieces.
Last weekend the sleigh went on a tour of Harpenden and as you can see from the photo, their work looked fantastic.
Paul told us: ‘Here are our rainbows, resplendent in the sunshine and we’re collecting lots of food, backed up by a van and a lorry. St Albans will be using their milk float in two weeks time – hopefully it will look even better. And there are also plans for collections in Redbourn and London Colney.’
Well done Paul and Pauline, and we’re glad we could be of service in a small way.
