Publications
The Publications system enables a user to upload editions of Prompt Corner, Abbey Theatre News, or the Little Theatre Guild Newsletter to the Members’ website and to email the latest versions of Prompt Corner and Abbey Theatre News to current members.
The File Upload function is used to upload each publication to the website where they are available to view under the Newsletters menu. For Prompt Corner and Abbey Theatre News, the Create Campaign function creates the corresponding email campaigns in Dotdigital (the theatre’s bulk email service). The Send Campaign function is then used to send these campaigns out.
Details of current Company of Ten Members and Abbey Theatre Friends are sent to Dotdigital by Spektrix (our box office system) every night. However, the lists of the recipients of Prompt Corner and Abbey Theatre News need to be refreshed from these updated membership details before the email campaigns are sent, to ensure that all current members as of yesterday receive the appropriate publications. These lists, or segments as they are known in Dotdigital, are automatically refreshed by the Create Campaign function, but this process can take some time and sometimes a segment can fail to refresh successfully. If this occurs the separate Refresh Segment function is also provided on the Publications menu so that the segments can be refreshed manually. It is only necessary to use Refresh Segment if Create Campaign completes with a message stating that a segment was not refreshed, but it does no harm to run Refresh Segment separately before sending the campaigns.
Mailing Labels
The Mailing Labels page contains mailing labels for those Company of Ten Members and Abbey Theatre Friends who receive Prompt Corner and Abbey Theatre News by post. The lists are updated automatically each evening from Spektrix.
Schedule
The Schedule system is used to schedule bookings for the various rehearsal/performance/meeting room spaces throughout the theatre. Several report functions are available under the Schedule menu: one provides a convenient A3 size printed version of the schedule for display on the notice boards: a second provides a summary of bookings for a specific event which may be given to directors or outside hirers.
