Butterworth’s brilliant ‘Jerusalem’ is on now

The Company of Ten’s next Main Stage production, Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem, is on now and will be a popular choice for admirers of contemporary drama.

Johnny ‘Rooster’ Byron, local waster and modern day Pied Piper, is a wanted man. Council officials want to serve him an eviction notice, a thug wants to give him a serious kicking and his mates want to get their hands on his drugs stash. So begins Johnny’s stand against the hypocrisy of modern life – which proves to be funny and shocking in equal turns.

The Guardian called this ‘one of the best dramas of the twenty-first century’ whilst The Telegraph described it as a ‘gorgeous, expansive new play’.

Warning: this is an occasionally shocking play with very strong language.

An audio described performance takes place on Thursday 16 November.

Tickets for all performances can bought online here.
