Need to add a new cast member to your culinary repertoire? Then we have just the thing – Favourite Recipes That Work, a 72-page book jam-packed with over 60 mouthwatering recipes.
The book is easy-to-follow and includes a wide range from simple starters, through elaborate main courses and delicious vegetarian side dishes, to wonderful desserts, with a special section on baking. Over half the recipes include colour photos.
The recipes have been gathered from members of the Company of Ten and have been thoroughly tested and adapted by two highly experienced cooks who have been involved in the Theatre for many years.
Phil Thompson, Michelin-starred chef of Thompson St Albans, has written a foreword and kindly provided one of his recipes.
Photos from the Company of Ten’s productions from the past 30 years that feature food and drink, as well as food-related quotations, are featured throughout.
But will there be a Julius Caesar Salad, Private Loaves or anything by Alan Hakebourn? Well, you’ll have to buy it to find out.
The book is priced at just £10, plus £1.50 postage. All proceeds go to the Abbey Theatre.
You can find out more about the book, and order it, here.
