On Saturday September 5, from 10am to 4pm, come and explore our theatre – this is your chance to look behind the scenes of the Abbey Theatre and find out more about what is involved in putting on a production.

Our Open Day is your chance to take a tour of all areas of the theatre: to see how shows run backstage, to peer into the understage cave of our props store and the racks of clothing up in wardrobe, as well as to see around the workshop where we build much of what you see on stage.

There may also the opportunity to see a bit of the rehearsal process as we get ready for some upcoming events during the day as well, and you can see one of the other groups who also use our space, Mini Mozart, who will be holding a free session for 0-5 year olds at 11am in the Studio.

Come along – this is an opportunity for anyone curious about theatre to meet members, see the venue from a different perspective and discover how you could get involved.
