Help beat COVID-19

NHS Test and Trace is a key part of the country’s ongoing COVID-19 response. If we can rapidly detect people who have recently come into close contact with a new COVID-19 case, swift action can be taken to minimise transmission of the virus.

To assist with NHS Test and Trace the Abbey Theatre may be asked to provide contact information for all customers who have attended a specific event in person and it is now a legal requirement that we collect up to date contact details.

Whilst we may already hold your telephone number on our Box Office system, this might be out of date if you have been a customer for a number of years and so it is important that you provide us with your most up to date number when you are buying tickets. We are required to retain this information for 21 days after the performance, reflecting the incubation period for COVID-19, after which we must permanently delete this contact information from our system.

If you suspect that the telephone number or address in your Box Office account may be out of date, please take the time to check, and if necessary update, your account details once you have completed your purchase, by selecting My Account from the menu that appears at the top of the page whenever you are logged in.

Should you not wish to provide a Test and Trace contact number here, enter ‘I opt out’ in the Contact Tracing Number field, but you will then be required to use your smartphone to scan the NHS Test and Trace QR code which is displayed prominently at the entrance to the theatre on your arrival.
