Our production of Alligators is happy to support Youth Talk with a special performance dedicated to fundraising for the charity.

One in six young people aged 16 to 24 has symptoms of a common mental health disorder such as depression or anxiety. Many struggle in silence, not receiving any help or support. Youth Talk provides a confidential counselling and therapeutic service to 13 to 25 year olds living, studying or working in the City and District of St Albans. They offer this support at no cost to the young people.

Almost half of those helped are experiencing anxiety and stress and a third are suffering from depression. Other issues include isolation, loneliness, self-harm, low self-esteem, identity, bereavement, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts. Research shows that early intervention is key in helping deal with these issues.

You can contact the charity via its web site at www.youthtalk.org.uk, its email at info@youthtalk.org.uk or by phone on 01727 868684.
