‘Howling with laughter’ – critic praises hit comedy

On the Piste, John Godber’s skiing comedy, has been praised by Madeleine Burton in the Herts Advertiser.

Ms Burton notes how the audience were ‘howling with laughter’ on her visit. She also calls the set ‘inspired’ and reports how the audience applauded it when the curtain went up.

In the play two couples, Chris and Ali and Dave and Bev, find themselves sharing the same instructor, a charming Frenchman named Tony. Relationships are tested on the slopes and in the après ski, leading to moments of both hilarity and true poignancy.

The East Anglian Daily Times called On the Piste a ‘triumph’ and ‘a great night’s entertainment’.

The show ended on Saturday 21 November.
