‘Two Gents’ is the dog’s, says Herts Ad

The Herts Advertiser has declared that the ‘undoubted star’ of The Two Gentlemen of Verona is Bart, the little dog who plays the role of Crab in the play.

Critic Madeleine Burton said that Bart ‘almost brought the house down when he trotted across the stage like a true star as the cast took their final bow’.

Ms Burton praised ‘an all-round good performance’ and commended the decision to set the play in the 1980s. ‘The music and the talented cast, despite the archaic language, bring the play alive,’ she remarked.

Tickets can be booked for the play – which must end Saturday 8 March – here.
