‘My Boy Jack’ is in action this week
This week offers a chance to catch a moving play about the wartime experiences of one of Britain’s best-loved authors.
Set in 1913 as the country prepares to go to war with Germany, My Boy Jack centres on the internal battle of Rudyard Kipling, creator of the Just So Stories.
A fierce patriot, Kipling was also a devoted family man with a teenage son, which left him facing a cruel dilemma.
The British Theatre Guild described this play as ‘a tremendously emotive piece: powerful, striking, stunning.’
Performances take place on the Main Stage from Friday 7 to Saturday 8 November at 8pm; on Sunday 9 November at 2.30pm; and from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 November at 8pm.
