‘Flippin’ Shakespeare’ will be a flippin’ great show

The Company of Teens are offering a highly enjoyable mix of comedy and tragedy in Flippin’ Shakespeare – back-to-back performances of The Comedy of Errors and Macbeth.

These take place on our Main Stage on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 July at 8pm.

The productions have very different settings. Alex Bell, director of The Comedy of Errors, has chosen to place his play against the background of the swinging sixties. Tina Swain, who is directing Macbeth, has opted for a dystopian Mad Max world where casual violence is the norm.

Tina says: ‘For some of our youth group, this will be their last appearance as they’re about to head off to further education or gap years. Our young performers are most grateful for your support and are looking forward to giving you a great night out.’
