Change of director for ‘Two Gents’

Due to an accident, Roger Scales is now unable to direct The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Angela Stone, the Company’s Production Executive, is taking over.

Auditions will now be held on Jan 5 2014 at 11.30am and 2.30pm, and on Jan 7 at 7.30pm.

Angela tells us: ‘There’s a possibility that some male parts can be played by females – such as Antonio, Pantino, and the Host. There are also some opportunities for doubling.

‘The age of the Two Gentlemen themselves depends on getting a pair of actors who are credible as friends and contemporaries, so the acting age can range from early 20s to mid 30s. The same goes for their sweethearts, though there is a little more flexibility there.

‘If you have read the script and find it a bit dense or obscure, be assured that it will be cut and clarified where needed, to suit a modern audience. Just come along and have a go!’

If you want to know more or can’t make the audition dates, please contact Angela by phone on 01727 762639 or via e-mail at antipholus@mac.com.
